The Maltese Islands: Gems of the Mediterranean

Golden-Bay-

VCMS Malta Rentals at Golden Bay can proudly say our home resort overlooking the Blue Flag beach of Golden Bay is a unique slice of paradise on the already heavenly Maltese Islands. Located in the heart of the Mediterranean Seam, the Maltese Islands comprise Malta, Gozo, Comino and a scattering of smaller islets.

Within a total area of just 312 square kilometres, the islands possess an astonishing wealth of history and culture. Just to mention a few highlights, its prehistoric monuments are the oldest free standing structures in the world; the entire capital city of Valletta is a UNESCO world heritage site; and the Maltese culture derives from a blend of Arabic and European influences stemming from various occupations at different times.

Yet Malta has its own, very unique personality, as does Gozo, the only other inhabited island. And while what is quintessentially Maltese remains, the island of Malta has become the cosmopolitan home to expats from all over the world, adding even more colour to an already very colourful society.

Tiny as they are, the Maltese islands will never cease to surprise you. You may just fall in love with their intrigue, which will lure you back again and again and again.

Golden Bay: Your Slice Of Paradise

VCMS Malta Rentals at Golden Bay’ home resort is perched on a hilltop overlooking the Blue Flag beach of Golden Bay. Our home resort and Golden Bay have stolen the hearts of countless travellers. Ever revered for its exceptional beauty by both locals and visitors, Golden Bay Malta is home to a timeless landscape of vast sunsets, endless horizons, impossibly blue skies and golden bay caressed by the crystal clear waters of the heart of the Mediterranean.

There’s also so much to do in and around Golden Bay. Visit the 17th century watchtower that keeps sentinel over the bay, or pop into NGO The Gaia Foundation’s nursery at the top of the hill overlooking the beach. Right behind the resort, walking, cycling and horse trails lead into the dramatic Majjistral National Park, a wonder of Malta’s flora and fauna. Hire a horse from the Golden Bay horse riding school, just a five-minute stroll from the resort, for an unforgettable way to see the park. The nearby town of Mellieha, meanwhile, is home to most of the island’s sandy beaches, many of which offer a wide variety of water sports for all ages.

Our home resort benefits from being a castaway Mediterranean haven, but also from being only 20km away from the UNESCO World Heritage capital Valletta, and Malta International Airport.
